I sell vintage books on Etsy and Instagram currently but its been literally impossible for me to keep up. Of course, part of the fun of being a vintage reseller is the thrill of the hunt... I believe that this is going to be a way for me to:
1) Catalog the books that I have.
2) Keep track of the books that I have by author.
3) Possibly include resource information, pricing, editions etc.
3) Possibly include resource information, pricing, editions etc.
4) Call out or reference collectible/rare books.
5) WOOT! I will finally have a forum to really share my love and passion of vintage books!
The irony is, I was never an avid reader as a child. I had (have) ADHD and I couldn't concentrate long enough to read. At 40, I can't sit still long enough to ponder what ignited this fire inside of me for vintage books. But, I am pretty sure that it started with the illustrations and/or lithographs inside the books. I loved Eloise Wilkin as a child and that is still true as an adult. I plan to post more in the future in regards to favorite books, authors/illustrators etc.
Please note, I am not a reviewer. I am not going to be witty. I am just a sleep-deprived Mom who needs a wiki for her books. Post-it notes, bankers boxes and spreadsheets are not doing the job! The thought of having tags to click on to reference information is making me giddy! Now to get all of the info up...One bankers box at a time.
